    Glad I could help Jim.

Let me know if you have other questions and we can post those too.

Hello Will, would you know the effect of using textile cleaner on an FR garment during the assembly process to spot treat a stain? We use Everblum Gold with cleaning guns in other areas of our production floor and would like to use it in our FR production line. We use both treated fabric and inherently FR fabric. Thanks

    Good Question Jorge.
Spot treating a stain caused by manufacturing is a common practice.
Although I can not answer for Everblum Gold specifically, these types of chemicals usually evaporate with little residue left on the garment.

However, safe practice is to recommend that users try on garments to ensure proper fit and then wash them prior to wearing. This will make sure that all sewing oils, starches, and other contaminants are removed.

Thanks Will. I asked because it is a Petroleum based product. It does evaporate within seconds, is not supposed to leave residue and is gentle enough to be permitted in Medical products.
We are a contract sewing outfit and know sewing well but the intricacies of FR fabrics are relatively new to us so your blog and other info are very useful. Thanks again,
